A part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available to support a K-12 school caseload in Joliet, Illinois. This contract role covers a maternity leave from March 10, 2026, through September 6, 2026, with approximately 14 hours per week of service. The caseload includes working with students in various specialized programs, including Autism and multi-needs settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services across K-12 grade levels
- Provide interventions tailored for students with Autism and multiple special needs
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Support educational goals by integrating therapeutic techniques within the school environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) credential eligible for school settings
- Experience working with school-aged children in K-12 environments
- Familiarity with Autism spectrum disorders and multi-needs caseloads
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work part-time hours effectively during the specified contract period
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in the Joliet, Illinois area
- Part-time, approximately 14 hours per week from mid-March to early September
- Service locations include Walnut Trails (Autism program), Minooka Central High School (REACH program), Minooka South High School (REACH program), and Grundy County Special Education Cooperative (multi-needs and autism programs)
